Ingredients
1 c butter
1/2 c sugar
1 egg
2 1/4 c flour
1/4 tsp baking powder
1 tsp almond extract
green food colouring
Preparation
Sift together flour and baking powder. Cream butter, add sugar gradually, and cream thoroughly. Beat in egg, extract, and food colouring. Gradually blend in dry ingredients. Fill cookie press fitted with tree disc. Form cookies on cool, ungreased cookie sheet. (You can’t use parchment paper: the dough won’t stick to it.) Decorate with red and green sugar or sprinkles, etc. Bake at 375 F for 10-12 min. Cool on racks.
