Ingredients

1 Cup Sugar

1 Cup Margarine or Butter

2 tsp. cinnamon

2 Cups all-purpose flour

Egg yolk

Pecans

Preparation

Mix sugar with butter/margarine until smooth. Add flour/cinnamon mixture and stir. Spread dough evenly into jelly-roll type pan (spread w/fingers and then roll with plain glass tumbler to get the dough even. Cut with knife into diamond shapes. Put small drop of egg yolk into center of each diamond and place 1/2 pecan on top. Bake at 325 for about 20 minutes. Re-cut into diamond shapes while hot. Remove from pan with a spatula when cook and store in airtight container.
