Ingredients

24 slices white sandwich bread (crusts removed)

**I use Pepperidge Farm thin sliced white bread

8 oz. cream cheese, softened

1 egg yolk

1 1/4 cups sugar

1 tbs. cinnamon

1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted

Preparation

Roll the bread slices flat with rolling pin or press flat with hands.

Mix cream cheese, egg yolk, and 1/4 cup sugar in a bowl. Spread about 1 tbs. on each bread slice and tightly roll up.

Mix the remaining 1 cup of sugar and cinnamon in shallow bowl. Brush each roll up with melted butter and roll in the cinnamon sugar mix. Arrange on a baking sheet. Chill or freeze for at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Bake 9-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
