Ingredients
3 egg whites
1/4 t cream of tartar
sprinkle of salt
2/3 c sugar
1/2 t vanilla extract
2-3 c coconut
3/4 c chopped dates
Preparation
Preheat oven 325
Beat whites with tartar until soft peaks form, add salt and vanilla, gradually add sugar until firm.
Fold in coconut and dates.
Drop onto lined cookie sheet.
Bake 15 minutes (watch to make sure they do not brown too much if you like soft centers)
