Ingredients

1 lb. cod, cut into serving pieces

flour seasoned with salt and pepper

1/2 c canola oil

2 onions sliced thin

3 minced garlic cloves

fresh coriander (cilantro) leaves

1/4 t. turmeric

1/4 t. ground ginger

1/4 t. ground cinnamon

1/8 t. ground cloves

1/4 t. red pepper flakes

1 c yogurt

Preparation

Dredge cod. Saute cod in a little oil for about 1 minute, turning once. Remove. Add more oil and cook onions. Add garlic, ginger and all spices. Cook for 1 minute. When it is cool enough to not curdle, add yogurt and blend it in. Add cod to pan and cook for 6 minutes. Transfer to platter and garnish with coriander.
