Ingredients

1 1/2 cup Flour

1 cup Sugar

1/2 tsp. Cinnamon

2 tsp. Nutmeg

2 tsp. Baking Powder

1/2 cup Shortening (Crisco)

2 Eggs

1/2 cup Milk

Preparation

Grease a cake pan or 8" square pan.

Preheat oven to 375°.

Mix dry ingredients together.

With pastry blender, cut in Crisco until the mixture of dry ingredients and Crisco forms an even crumbly texture.

Save 2/3 cup of mixture for topping.

To the rest, stir in eggs and milk.

Pour into pan.

Sprinkle topping over all.

Bake at 375° for 20 minutes or until knife into center comes out clean.

Remove from oven and dot with butter.
