Ingredients
2/3 c. Heavy Cream
1 1/3 c. 2% Milk
3/4 c Sugar
2 Tbl. Vanilla Extract
Preparation
Two things before you begin:
- This comes out VERY sweet, when you mix it into your coffee, it is only mildly sweet. (Adjust sweetness according to your tastes).
- Be sure to NOT boil the liquid. The heat never needs to exceed a temperature you can comfortably hold your finger in for a five-count.
Pour all ingredients into a small or medium saucepan. Heat over low heat, slowly stirring once liquid reaches room temperature.
Check spoon every few stirs to look for solid/runny sugar at bottom of pan. Once there is no more solid sugar, take it off the heat, transfer to a serving vessel and let cool on the counter until it gets to room temp. You can then stick it in the fridge.
