Ingredients
1/3 pound coarsely ground fresh coffee
48 oz cold water
Fresh cream
Sugar
Preparation
- Place coffee into 48 ounce French press or large stainless steel pot.
- Pour water over coffee grounds and stir.
- Place lid on French press (don’t press the plunger) or cover the pot and leave at room temperature for at least 12 hours. The longer you leave it, the stronger the brew.
- Press down the plunger, pour coffee into pitcher, and chill. If using a pot, pour between two pots, removing grounds each time, and then strain in cheese cloth or sieve.
- Dilute each serving 1-to-1 with ice-cold water. Pour over ice and serve with cream and sugar.
