Ingredients

2 T. butter (room temp)

1.5 c. sugar

2 eggs

3 c. flour

1.5 t. baking soda

1 T. cardamon

1 c. buttermilk

1 c. currants

Preparation

Combine all ingredients; beat well. Add currants last. Pour into 2 well-greased loaf pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes. (Should be golden brown on top and toothpick come out clean from center)
