Ingredients

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup flour

2 tsp. salt

2 tbsp. sugar

1/4 tsp. nutmeg

1 3/4 cup milk

3 cups corn

3 eggs

Preparation

Melt butter in saucepan; blend in flour, sugar and nutmeg. Stir until smooth (do not brown). Add milk; cook until thick. Stir in corn. Add eggs beaten until frothy. Pour into buttered shallow 1 1/2 qt. casserole set in pan containing 1 inch hot water. Bake at 350 until set about 45 minutes.
