Ingredients

1 1/2 cup flour

1/4 cup + 2 Tbl yellow cornmeal

2 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp baking soda

3/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 Tbl sugar

6 Tbl butter

3/4 cup + 1 Tbl buttermilk

Preparation

Mix dry ingredients. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add 3/4 cup buttermilk. Cut into 1 inch thick rounds. Brush tops with buttermilk. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes or until gold and fluffy.
