Ingredients
1.5 kg. country style pork ribs
2 medium onions, diced
2 stalks celery, sliced
4 cloves garlic, sliced
1 c. red wine (I used beer)
1/2 c. strong chicken broth
3-4 small tomatoes, diced
2 tsp. cumin seeds,
dry fried until popping and fragrant
1 tbsp. curry powder
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Dust the ribs with chili powder, salt and pepper. Brown in large pot, set aside. Iin same pot, brown onions, celery and garlic. Place in slow cooker, place ribs on top. Mix wine, chicken broth and spices. Pour over ribs.
Simmer in slow cooker on low for 8 hours.
