Ingredients

1/2 lemon, quartered, seeded and thinly sliced

1/2 orange, quartered, seeded and thinly sliced

1/2 cup water

1 cinnamon stick, broken into 3 pieces

1 package (12 ounces) cranberries

1 cup granulated or brown sugar

Preparation

Combine the lemon, orange, water and cinnamon stick in a heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the cranberries and sugar. Cook for about 5 minutes, until the cranberries pop. Do not overcook. Ladle into sterilized containers and refrigerate.
