Ingredients
4 cups cranberries
1 1/2 cups apple juice
1 1/4 cups sugar
1 3-inch cinnamon stick
1 cup coarsly chopped dried figs
1 tart medium apple, peeled and coarsely chopped
1 tbsp finely shredded orange peel
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tsp finely shredded lemon peel
3 tbsp lemon juice
Preparation
In a large saucepan combine cranberries, apple juice, sugar, and cinnamon stick. Stir over medium heat until cranberries begin to pop. Stir in figs, apple, orange peel, orange juice, lemon peel, and lemon juice. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove cinnamon stick and serve.
