Ingredients

4 lb rump roast

2 tbsp fresh ground pepper

3 tbsp olive oil

2 cups cranberry juice

2/3 cup cranberry liquer

Preparation

Score meat (cut lightly in criss cross pattern). Rub all sides but not the ends , with pepper.

In a dutch oven or roasting pan, brown meat in oil over medium heat, about 15 minutes.

Pour cranberry juice and liquer over meat, cover, cook in oven at 350 degrees for 2 1/2 hours or until tender.

Slice meat place on platter and serve with gravy mashed potatoes and your favorite vegetable.
