Ingredients
4 eggs 1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 cups whipping cream
2 T. powdered sugar
2 bananas, mashed
1 qt.fresh strawberries
Preparation
Preheat oven 400. Beat eggs & sugar until pale and thick. Stir in flour, mix well. Divide batter into 3 8" cake pans that have been buttered & sugared. Bake 15 min. Invert cakes onto a wire rack lined with waxed paper and let cool, covered with a terry towel. When cool, place 1 layer on cake dish,place crushed strawberries that have been mixed with sugar over layer. Put 2nd layer on top of strawberries, spread with mashed bananas; put 3rd layer on banans. Spread with crushed strawberry mixture. Whip cream, adding appox 2 T. of powdered sugar to shipped cream. Spread cream over & around whole cake. Decorate with strawberries, putting them on top and around the sides, pressing into cream
