Ingredients
4 ounce package of German’s Sweet Chocolate
5 Tablespoons Oleo
3 ounces Cream Cheese
1/4 cup Sugar
1 Egg
1 Tablespoon Flour
1/2 teaspoon Vanilla
2 Eggs
3/4 cups Sugar
1/2 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/4 teaspoon Salt
1/2 cup Flour
1/2 cup Chopped Nuts
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1/4 teaspoon Almond Extract
Preparation
Melt chocolate and 3 Tablespoons Oleo over very low heat. Cool. Blend 2 Tablespoons Oleo and cheese til softened. Gradually add sugar. Beat well. Blend in egg, flour, and vanilla. Set aside. Beat 2 eggs til thick and light in color. Gradually add sugar. Beat til thick. Add Baking Powder, salt and flour. Blend in cooled chocolate mixture and nuts, vanilla and almond. Spread 1/2 in greased 8" or 9" pan. Spread cheese mixture evenly. Top with tablespoons of remaining chocolate batter. Zig zag spatula through batter to marble. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes (center springs back). Cool. Cut in bars.
