Ingredients

8-oz. cream cheese

1 stick butter, softened

2 cups powdered sugar

2 teaspoons vanilla

Milk to thin

Preparation

  1. Begin by beating together the butter and cream cheese.
  2. After the cream cheese and butter are combined, add the vanilla and mix it in.
  3. Sift the confectionary sugar before measuring it. You can do this by shaking it through a mesh sieve on to wax paper. Then, pour it into a measuring cup. It will be lighter and more aerated, which will make for a fluffier frosting. There is no need to be exact with the confectionary sugar. You can just add a little, and mix it in and then keep on tasting until the frosting is the sweetness and consistency that you like.
