Ingredients
1 Tbsp. yeast
1 1/2 c. lukewarm water
2 egg, beaten
1/2 c. oil or melted margarine
5 to 6 cups Hot Roll Mix
Sugar-Cinnamon Sprinkle:
2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Cream Cheese Filling:
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
6 Tbsp. sugar
1 egg, slgihtly beaten
1/2 tsp. vanilla
Glaze:
1 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. milk
Preparation
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in the 1 1/2 c. water. Blend in egg and oil. Add 5 cups of Mix and stir well. Add additional Mix to make a soft dough. Knead about 5 minutes. Put in lightly oiled bowl and cover with a damp cloth. Let rise about an hour or until doubled. Punch down and let stand 10 minutes. Roll out on floured surface to a 12x24 inch rectangle. Top with Sugar-Cinnamon mixture and roll up lengthwise. Cut into 1 inch slices and place on greased cookie sheets. Let rise until doubled. With the bottom of a glass, make an indentation in each roll and fill with Cream Cheese Filling. Bake in 375 deg. oven 20 to 25 minutes. Drizzle Glaze on warm buns. Makes 24 rolls.
