Ingredients

4 1/2 cups milk

1 3/4 cups sugar

4 T cornstarch

6 T flour

1/2 t salt

1/2 cup canned cream

6 egg yolks (save whites)

5 1/2 T margarine

2 1/2 t vanilla

Preparation

Heat milk & sugar

Mix dry ingredients, cream, and egg yolks together and stir into hot milk, constantly mixing with a whip until thick. Do not boil

Remove from heat and stir in margarine & vanilla

For pineapple Leave out part of the milk and add pineapple juice.

For lemon use water only 2 1/4 cups sugar juice from 2 big or 3 small lemons + some rind blended or grated.

For coconut 1 1/2 cups sugar 4 cups coconut

For chocolate 7 1/2 T cocoa almost 2 cups sugar
