Ingredients

Med. cabbage, chopped & cooked

1/2 C finely chopped onion

3 tbsp butter

3 tbsp flour

salt & pepper

2 C milk

grated cheese ( optional)

Preparation

Chop cabbage coarsly. Boil in salted water, along with onion til tender crisp. Drain. Put in 1 1/2 qt. casserole. Melt butter in med. saucepan. Stir in flour, salt & pepper. Add milk. Cook, stirring until sauce boils. Pour over cabbage & onion. Sprinkle with grated cheese. Bake uncovered in 350 F oven for 20 - 30 min. until bubblyChop cabbage coarsly.
