Ingredients
2 cups of water
1/2 cup quick cooking grits
3 1/2 cup (14 oz) shredded cheddar cheese
4 eggs
1 cup milk
1/2 teas thyme
1/8 teas garlic powder
1 1/2 lbs sausage
Preparation
Boil water, stir in grits, return to boil, reduce to low & cook 4 min. Meanwhile, cook sausage til done & crumbly, set aside to drain. When grits are cooked, add cheese, stir til melted. In a bowl, combine eggs, milk and seasonings (salt & pepper to taste) and add grits 1/4 at a time, stirring constantly. Pour into 11x7 lightly greased casserole dish, sprinkle sausage over. Bake @ 350 degrees for 50 min or until set
