Ingredients
5 lbs Yukon Gold Potatoes, peeled
1/2 Gallon Whole Milk
1 Pint Cream
6 Cloves Garlic
2 Bay Leaves
7 Sprigs Thyme
1/2 tsp whole grain mustard
1/2 stick unsalted butter
salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Peel and dice potatoes
- In a large pot cover potatoes with half cream and half whole milk
- Add Bay leaves, crushed garlic cloves, and Thyme.
- Simmer until tender. 45 min.
- Drain potatoes and reserve liquid. Take out bay leaves and Thyme. Mash with the 1/2 stick of butter and mustard.
- Add in milk mixture to desired consistency. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
