Ingredients

Asparagus:

1 lb asparagus tips (look for thicker stalks)

2 table-spoons Sesame Oil

2 crushed Garlic cloves

1 inch fresh ginger, peeled & grated

Coarse Kosher or Sea Salt

Crispin Original Natural Hard Apple Cider

Lemon & Soy Butter Ingredients:

1/4 cup unsalted butter

3 scallions (Spring Onions?), finely sliced

1 inch fresh ginger, grated & juice squeezed

1 tea-spoon peppercorns coarsely crushed or fresh ground black pepper

2 table-spoons white rice vinegar

Freshly squeezed lemon juice - 1/2 a lemon.

1/2 cup of Crispin Original Natural Hard Apple Cider

1 tablespoon soy sauce

Preparation

Lemon & Soy Butter:

  • Melt butter in small saucepan
  • Add ingredients above
  • Bring to boil, boil for 1 minute.
  • Remove from heat, keeping mixture warm.

Asparagus:

  • Put sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and salt in a plastic bag
  • Add asparagus & gently toss to liberally coat the tips
  • Heat a frying/grill pan, add asparagus
  • Cook for 2 minutes on each side

Arrange on a platter. Pour the Lemon-Soy butter over the asparagus - serve.
