Ingredients
Main cake:
3 Apples(any variety) Peeled, Cored and Sliced
2 cups of white sugar
3 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup vegatable oil
1 1/2 tablespoon vanilla
4 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup of OJ
220z. Crispin - Honey Crisp Cider
Sprinkle Topping:
5 tablespoons white sugar & 2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
Preparation
- Soak the apples in a bowl completely submerged in the bomber of Crispin Honey Crisp Cider(reccommended 6 hours min).
- Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a 10" pan. Mix the cinnamon and sugar together and set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and sugar. stir in the oil, beaten eggs, orange juice and vanilla. Lastly add juice from the soaked apples and mix thoroughly.
- Pour half the batter into the pan and top with the apples. Sprinkle some of the mixture on this layer.
- Pour the remainder of the batter on top and then more apples and the rest of the mixture.
- Bake at 350 Degrees for 70 to 90 minutes
