Ingredients

1.5 lbs apples - cored, peeled, and cubed

1.5 lbs other soft fruit (peaches, pears, strawberries, etc) - cored, peeled, and cubed

1 cup white sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/8 teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon ground cloves

Preparation

Place apples and other fruit in slow cooker. Combine sugar, cinnamon, cloves, and salt; pour over fruit and mix well. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour. Reduce heat to low; cover and cook for 9-11 hours or until thickened and dark brown, stirring occasionally. Uncover and cook on low (or high if mixture is thin) for 1 hour longer. Blend well with stick-blender or whisk. Let cool and serve
